I do 8000 miles a year in it, with a few 400 mile round trips in the summer, and the car has handled it with ease. No squeaks, no rattles, well built solid little car. I also went on a six week, 4500 mile road trip around Europe in my Hi again Lisa, the car is fine to drive. basically the cars "brain" is / has been lacking a connection, that's why the mileage is flashing. common causes are a poor connection / low voltage to a sensor, ( often leaves a fault code stored in cars computer) the simplest thing is.. getting the battery tested, Had my Punto Evo over 2 months now and started seeing some problems 1) The engine management light has just flashed up (Ive only done 1000 careful miles) 2) It keeps deleting stored radio stations. I.e I store them into the system, turn the engine off and on and the station disappears. 3) I For issue 2; I have the same problem. Apparently it's a common issue. The culprit is a cracked breather hose I believe. For some reason the GP pulls air under the engine, so an exhaust smell at idle is no surprise.
